When I get emails from people about making their own alcoholic drinks (ciders, coolers, cocktails etc) with the home booze kit, you almost never hear about them using vegetables. Vegetables are considered boring and dull when it comes to almost anyone’s eating habits. Unless you are a vegan or something, the average joe doesn’t really care about vegetables. However, when it comes to juicing (whether for health benefits or alcoholic drinks), vegetables are just as good.
Did you know that you can even combine vegetables with fruits to make some crazy flavors with the home booze kit? In fact, I just learned that watermelons are actually vegetables – Isn’t that awesome! Some other popular vegetables you can use are cucumbers, spinach, radish and melons in general. Now keep in mind, except for the melons, vegetables usually add a very unsweetened and plain taste to the taste buds. The trick is to combine them with other fruits and mix them up and create beautiful delicious booze. One of my favorites is the ‘CuCa’ mix.
You simply use a little bit of cucumber juice with carrots, apply the home booze kit and drink it up. It sounds a little weird but once you taste it, you’ll get this amazing flavor – I’d like to think I invented it
And don’t forget the ever so popular tomato! You can make your own cezars and make it real spicy with green pepper.
I’m not a fruit or vegetable person, but when it comes to drinking and creating alcoholic drinks, I have a very open mind and love to experiment with my drinks. I’ve found and so will you that the more fruits and vegetables you mix, the more unique and delicious flavors your are going to come up with. Don’t think vegetables suck when it comes to making your own booze – they just suck when you eat them raw
To get started on a positve note with juicing vegetables, try out using cucumbers, green peppers and tomatoes (For clamato style drinks and ceasars).

Intersting, so do you have any recipe’s?
