Curing hangover

Well if you drink like I drink, you are destined to be hungover the next day. I guess we all have our limit but in my case, I need at least 6 beers to be hungover the next day (Keep in mind that is NOT my limit). When you start mixing drinks – a little bit of wine here, some gin and tonic their – then maybe not that many beers . . . My point is, we all have felt the wrath of the hangover and I’m proud to say that I will be ‘feeling it’ until my time on this planet is up. However, I’ve developed and discovered some things that can minimize your hangover.

Drink water and lots of it.

Water starts the flow of oxygen in your system and after a nice night of drinking, brings your metabolism up to its normal rate. In fact it helps a lot so I usually fill up those 500ml water bottles and drink about 4 or 5 of those throughout my day. Honestly, nothing makes you feel more good then nice cold water.

Eat good delicious food.

My personal hangover meal is the 2 cheesburger meal with fries and coke at Mcdonalds. I usually go down to my local McDonalds after I wake up from a nice night of partying – that meal just seems to ‘cure’ my hangover right off the bat – followed by a nice smoke hmmmmm nice relaxing smoke. I also like spicy food like ‘Thai’ or ‘Korean’. Korean food is phenomenal by the way and if you haven’t tried it, you are missing out big time. I thought chinese food was cool but Korean food is amazing. Its way cleaner then chinese food, feels great in the system and ofcourse, really spicy! So bottom line, eat food that you think is delicious. Don’t worry about the health factors in this case, I’d rather cure my hangover as fast as I can then be in a bitchy pissed off mood the whole day.

Smoke if you smoke . . .

If you smoke cigarettes, then please have a smoke! I usually have a bottle of water and a smoke before I go to Mcdonalds to get my cheeseburger meal. A smoke just relaxes you and then you come to a realization “I better do something about my hangover!”. I’ve noticed that my hangover now usually kicks in a lot later then it use to. Which is weird because maybe my drinking capacity has increased or I’m just use to ‘controlling it’ – if that makes sense :)

These are the things I do to cure my hangover, hope it helps and PLEASE share your hangover curing rituals – let’s see what you do:)
