Health benefits of home wine making

Wine having already been around for many centuries, is accompanied by numerous myths’ attached to its name. This however shadows the even greater truth’s that encompass this ever popular, as well as ever growing subject. Ask any person that has ever reached the one hundred year age mark what there secret was to living this long and a large majority of them will tell you that there secret was they have had a glass of wine every night for the majority of their years.

Most people hearing this, shake there heads in disbelieve, unable to make sense of the statement beyond all of the myths and hearsay they believe are true about many types of alcohol. This however, is not always the case with wine, especially home wine making. Almost having a special class in alcohol of its own, there has been several major research studies done on ten’s of thousands of people regarding their use of wine and the amount they consume.

Since the early 1980’s, many doctors and college research institute’s have been engaged in engrossing research regarding the health benefits of wine. All of them as of yet, have come back with conclusive proof that drinking one to two glasses of wine per day can significantly reduce your risk of coronary heart disease by as much as 50% and reduce the risk of heart attach by as much as 20-40%. These facts alone are enough to get the majority of people to have a few glasses every day, seeing as how the results of the study are published from Harvard. The previous study occurred in 1996, one year later in 1997, another study was concluded that also showed reduced risk of stroke and P.A.D by at least the same margin for improvement.

Starting the in the 90’s and ending early 2000’s, a 13 year British study was preformed using information from 12,000 doctors regarding their life expectancy’s when alcohol was involved. Separated by those that drank moderately, meaning one to six drinks’s a week and those who did not drink at all. The study concluded that the moderate drinker’s on average tended to live 18% longer lives. Now of those doctor’s who were not moderate drinker’s, and barely drank at all, showed that 20-28% of them had some sort of a heart attack or stroke and died during the study.

Of the remaining doctors still living at the end of the study, 70% of them had showed sign’s or had conformation of having a heart attack or stroke and still living after the fact. Once again, the evidence clearly shows that the health benefits of home wine making are almost revolutionary in term’s of helping us live long, healthy, productive lives.
