how to clean wine bottles

If you are anything like me, you probably started buying wine bottles to store your booze. I mean its awesome when your friends go “Hey, where did you get the wine?” and you tell them that you made it. That is the fun part, but sometimes cleaning wine bottles can be hard, due to the nature of alcoholic beverages and the shape of the wine bottle.

Now it all depends, are you going to be re-using that wine bottle or not? If you are not re-using and just want to get rid of that bottle, then normal water and dish soap is fine. You are probably wondering why you would need to clean a wine bottle that you are not going to use it? The answer is cleaning wine bottles gets rid of the alcohol. Alcohol can attract lots of bugs if let in a private place by itself - due to the sugar content. So it is best to give it a wash - I even do that with my beer bottles.

But if you are keeping it and re-using your wine bottles, then use a solution that can disinfect your bottle. Try this home made way of filling your sink with bleach (Must contain chlorine) and water. If you think the wine stains are quite hard then just leave it in their for about 30 minutes or so. It should work fine. Don’t forget if you are not sure then their are always professional wine cleaning supplies around.

Proper care of your wine bottles only take a few seconds and the end result is worth it.
