Across the globe, there are literally thousands upon thousands of different kinds of alcohol, let alone different alcoholic drinks available. And what’s ever crazier is the fact that hundreds of new drink’s are being thought and conjured up every single day. Unfortunately not every one of us can be a bartender to know all the cool drinks to be making, but even they do not know them all.
Coming in no particular order of drinks, the first of the popular alcoholic drinks is the Screwdriver. The screwdriver is typically made in a highball glass with 5ounces of orange juice and an ounce and a half of vodka. Preference is given to the high shelf vodka seeing as that it gives it a smoother taste and goes down just as smooth. The next of the most popular drinks is a personal favorite of mine, the Flaming Dr. Pepper. The flaming dr. pepper is made with a short mixed drink glass and a shot glass.
The mixed drink glass needs to be only big enough to fit the shot glass inside of it with the alcohol. Typically, the drinkers favorite beer is lined in the bottom of the mixed drink glass, afterwards the shot glass is filled with Amaretto and then 151 is poured on top of that. Immediately after that you light the 151 on fire and drop it in your beer. Be cautious as the instant you do this the drink will start to bubble and may overflow the glass so drink fast. As this drink is going down, as well as the initial taste, you will be having a new love for dr. pepper.
Another of the most popular alcoholic drinks in the world is called the Cosmopolitan. This drink, although depending on the bartender can be rather difficult to make, but is still very good. All you need is an ounce and a half of higher shelf vodka, an ounce of triple sec, a small portion of cranberry juice (if your making your own this is completely based on your personal tastes), and half of an ounce of lime juice. Mix this drink in a container with crushed ice and then strain (without the ice) into a chilled cocktail glass. Some people prefer to mix it up with this drink and add orange juice instead of the triple sec, saying that it turns out to be a lot sweeter.
