There are thousands of alcoholic drinks that are available to you today and more and more are being continuously introduced and added to the ‘alcoholic drinks’ roster.
Below you will find some of the main types of alcoholic drinks available to us today:
Rum: Also distilled from molasses and cane juice.
Whiskey: If you are in Scotland, whiskey is distilled from potatoes and grain extracts. In the US, its a little bit different
– Friends in the US distill it from wheat and rye usually.
Vodka: Also made by distilling and is usually made from extracts of potatoes, rye or corn.
Gin: A clear alcoholic drink made by distilling (Illegal in most places unless you get an official license).
Tequila: This is truly special guys and gals and you can only distill from a plant called the Agave Tequilana hence the name Tequila. The crazy thing is this plant is only found in Central America.
Brandy: Distilled from fermented juices and wine. Don’t be confused, it is AFTER the fermentation when the distillation process begins to create brandy. A little complicated process and that is why we are thankful to the person who discovered it.
Wine: Produced by fermenting (Processing) grapes.
Champagne: Also produced by fermenting (Processing) grapes. For champagne, just different kinds of grapes are used.
Beer: Made from hops, barley and yeast.
